Internship Program Goals

The goal of the internship program is to teach college graduates about what, how, and why financial advisors do what they do. We want to set future financial advisors up with the tools and resources they need to be successful in this industry so that they can begin their professional journeys off right. This internship is an introduction to a sales position as a financial advisor.

Through interactive mentorship sessions and professional networking within the industry, interns will be taught what a career in financial advising truly looks like and how rewarding it can be. Interns will have the opportunity to learn from many advisors in the firm and apply their knowledge through weekly presentations. This internship is a great first step towards a career in financial advising at Westshore Financial.

We interviewed three financial professionals who started with Westshore shortly after graduating college.

They will say the first few years were difficult, just as any new career would be.  But now they are making more money than their peers, they have more time and more flexibility with their schedules, and they are making a positive impact in their community.
