I was born in New York on a cold winter morning on February 26th. Both of my parents migrated from Colombia in the early 1970's. They met each other for the first time in New York and fell in love and in turn made the US their permanent home. I have two older sisters; one is 13 years older than me and the other is 9 years older. At the age of 4 my parents decided that the best thing for me was to go to school in Colombia not only to learn the language but also to attend an all-girls catholic school for 5 years. During that time, every Christmas my mom would take me to Colombian villages to give my toys and presents to underprovided children there. This is where my heart for people and community was first born. Seeing how blessed I was made me want to give back. I wanted to be a Doctor growing up so that I could make an impact in my community and save lives while giving back. Little did I know God had other plans for me. As I was nearing graduation and about to apply to grad school (USF's PA program), I was approached by ADP to become a small business consultant. I took a leap of faith and decided to give it a try to save some money for Grad school to not have too much debt. I always planned to go back to school a year later. Within 6 months many doors opened at ADP, I made president club my first year and a total of 5 promotions within 4 years with the last one becoming a retirement plan specialist. Quickly I realized I wanted to help not only business owners but individuals as well, so after my last promotion and getting my Series 6 and 63 licenses, I found my home at Westshore Financial Group through my church Bayside. Six month later I combined my practice with my now partner Gregory Jack who’s from Connecticut and beliefs & values align with mine. I've always believed in teamwork and not doing things alone. We take an unconventional approach to traditional planning which is what sets us apart from any other financial professionals and brokers out there. During the week when I am not taking my 10-year-old son to baseball and small groups, I am spending time on our financial practice and building our community. I am very passionate about bringing value to our community by educating and connecting like-minded individuals and businesses. Children hold a special place in my heart which is why I decided to join Big Brothers Big Sisters organization as a big sister as well as a board member in May of 2019. I love volunteering and giving back to our community which is why in November of 2019 I joined Rotary. Rotary is an international service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world. My mission is to always leave people and places better than I found them. Whether it's bringing value through financial literacy, connecting business professionals, or giving my time to good causes.
